4-6 yrs M-F 1week 9:00-3:00 or 9:00-12:00 French or Spanish or Italian or Chinese Our youngest students are introduced to the target language through songs, dances, games, finger plays & movement. The very active curriculum includes cultural crafts, cooking & field trips. Come see the kids perform on the last day! Great themes include: Spanish: Mariachi Madness(Mexico), Fiesta Fiesta(Spain)... Using music, dance & cultural props our little ones discover Spanish by recreating Mexican or Spanish celebrations! French: Les Petit Patissier... Petit croissants, pain au chocolate! Let's pretend we just moved to one of Paris' bakeries! Miniature Matisse... Discover & imitate some famous French painters as you learn to speak like them! Italian: Pinocchio in la Piazza... Let's meet Pinnochio and his friends. Become part of his brave adventures...in Italian (of course) Chinese: Little Dragon.... A colorful, musical journey with our friend, introduces Mandarin in a fun, yet cultural way! Imagine your little one in a beret and a paint smock happily singing a color song in French as she splashes watercolor onto an easel. For a moment she is an impressionist painter in Paris! Or imagine your little guy in a sombrero marching with maracas as he bids good morning to his group all in Spanish. These are just a few of the many excellent language activities we have designed to bring foreign language alive for our youngest campers. From puppets and echo chants during circle time to preparing fresh tortillas to playing, une, deux, trois, le soleil! Every moment is deliberately constructed to take advantage of your childıs amazing capacity to absorb languages. We have combined more than 30 years of expertise in the area of language learning and child development, plus the nurturing professionalism of our teachers to bring to your child two delightful summer weeks and the beginning of an invaluable, life-long skill. Multi-Cultural, Multi-Lingual Preschool 3-5 years French or Spanish or Italian or Chinese or Japanese 9-week pack Starts July 6 thru Sept 4 Choose your days & choose your language Brand new this summer! We have designed a 5-culture / 5-langauge / 5-day week to give your preschoolers a wonderful cultural experience! Mon-Japanese / Tues-French / Wed-Italian / Thurs-Chinese / Fri-Spanish This camp includes preschool activities including circle time, calendar work, large motor skill activities, foreign language development focus themes plus a few exciting cultural projects including a carrousel of children around the world. Our warm teachers and immersion approach make it possible for kids to comfortably join at any time. It is a great preview for fall enrollment. Kids love to cook. What better way to expose your child to another language but in the medium they so naturally respond to! Fun and traditional recipes made with love. Cook delights such as coco rico, arroz con leche,cascara de papa & of course tortillas! Oui Oui for la salade Niçoise, le croque-monsieur, mousse au chocolat and naturally - les crepes! Cooking is a wonderful together-time activity, one that meets their needs to touch, do, create and importantly TASTE! Cooking is the perfect medium to introduce a foreign language and culture! Itıs hands-on, visual nature makes it perfectly suited to the best language methodology, the immersion approach. Your kids learn little songs and rhymes as they grind spices with a mortar and pestle, count out raisins for "Arroz con Leche", repeat commands as they stack up little "tapas" platters, smell fresh basil and grate parmesan over orzo pasta, and dance "en rond", in charming traditional aprons. This class is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon so there is still time for free morning. Awesome Gradeschool Language Camp 7-10 yrs M-F 1 week 9:00-3:00 or 9:00-noon French or Spanish or Italian or Chinese or Japanese In our immersion camps kids learn to speak Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese or Japanese by "doing". Activity oriented, hands-on, full of field trips, games, cultural crafts and cooking. Your child will be able to use greetings, basic questions & answers and vocabulary while having a fabulous time! Intro to Mandarin through the customs of China's 1000's of years of amazing culture... from the inventions to the traditions. Japanese: Celebrate Tanabata... Discover how TEN-KOU and his daughter ORIHIME are believed to be at the origin of this exciting yearly celebration.
