Spanish for Senior Citizens (beginners)

12 hours of instruction, Starts week of July 7th to week of August 25th - ONE 1.5 hour class/week
1 time per week for 8 weeks * Class designed as a preview to the language - START 1a IN THE FALL 2008

You always wanted to learn French (Spanish or Italian), but your life was so busy, you never got to it. Now you have more time, but you don’t want to be stressed and you might even think that you may be too old to learn a foreign language. Well, you are not too old! Studies also show over and over that speaking a foreign language may help to keep the brain sharper for longer, keeping you younger much longer. There is a class designed with you in mind here at Savoir Faire: no rush, patient teachers, clear and understandable lessons, a lot of repetitions, easy to follow material, even a CD to listen at home. The classes are scheduled during the day when it is more convenient for you to get around.  A light, commitment-free, summer week-day distraction that helps you keep your promise to learn a foreign language one day. If you don’t have time to take a formal language course, if you are not sure you are ready to commit to becoming fluent, here is a good alternative. This quick-learning class is designed to introduce you to basic and practical spoken Spanish that you can use right away. Summer is the perfect time to "get your feet wet." Vocabulary! Vocabulary! Vocabulary! Every advanced student needs more vocabulary and the

opportunity to practice it in interesting, dynamic situations. One week, all day, students work intensively in the morning interactively extending their vocabulary and brushing up on challenging grammar constructions and then after a relaxing French lunch, un pique-nique or au restaurant , return to the classroom to participate in oral activities that require the creative and spontaneous use your new learning.

Expand vocabulary and fluency in a relaxed setting
